Is there an easy way to select all components? "Select All" selects everything.

What I find myself often wanting to do is modify a particular property of every component, such as turning on of off the display of component names on a PCB or packages on a schematic, but if anything other than a component is added to the selection the properties dialog is not available (obviously).
This leaves me manually Ctrl-Clicking lots of components.

Mike,

you can use the Goto bar for this kind of selection. Display the bar, set the category to Components, then right-click in the listbox where the component names are shown. Choose 'Select All Find Items' and this should light up all your components in one easy step!

regards,
David.

You will find that the Goto bar is useful for all kinds of multiple-select situations, not just components. For example you can view Pad Styles, click on one of the styles in the list, then right-click and Select All Find Items and it will select all the items that use that pad style.

David.

Sounds like it will be very useful. Thanks.

I'm sure there are many time saving features that I don't know about because I;m such an infrequent user of EPC. I had a good play around when I got my first version in 2004, but have only concentrated on the new features I actually wanted at each upgrade.
