I recently added the cost option intelligent Gerber import and I’m having some trouble with my first use. When I imported my Gerber files the vias came in as shapes instead of vias. According to the manual I should be able to change these to vias by right-clicking and getting a generate component window. However, when I right click that option is not available. I see it on other design files (never used it) but on the imported design it is not there. I cannot delete the shapes and simply add a via because on one layer for each via they are part of the connected tracks. Does anyone have any suggestions on overcoming this issue? I have begun placing a via over top of these shapes and since it is through all of the layers it should work. Does this sound like a reasonable solution?
