Has anyone else experienced the situation when only part of the changes made in schematic are passed through to layout?
I noticed this effect and asking for an integrity check flags up the differences. Returning to the schematic design and invoking forward design changes again causes the remains 'bits' to be transferred and the integrity check shows the designs to be the same.
This happens quite a lot and it is quite easy to miss the fact that not all the changes have commutated into the PCB layout.

Any ideas anyone?

many thanks,

Boris

Yes I have notice this sometimes too, but accepting the intergrity test changes resolves the problem. I have never needed to go back to the schematic a do a forward design change to sort it out

I have noticed this for sometime (years). It seems to occur when the changes are complex - such as changing all packages or renaming many nets. My cure is to repeat 'forward design changes' until integrity check gives 'designs are the same'.

This has been reported quite a lot, but seems to be a stubborn problem to reproduce. As soon as you set up a controlled environment to trap it, it just doesn't happen.

As it's a nuisance rather than a show stopper, we're not putting a lot of effort into finding it - you can waste a LOT of time that way! However, we are aware, and do keep trying.

BTW accepting the integrity check report IS running a second forward design changes in the background. It's just that integrity check gives you the opportunity to see what will be done and abort if you don't like it.
