 Silk screen missing when plotting

I am trying to plot a PCB to Gerber files. However, when i do this - the preview of the gerber Top Silk layer is missing everything bar the basic component outlines. All the text i have added is missing.

Are you sure you put the text on the silk screen layer ? Do you see it ok in the PCB editor if you enable only the silk screen layer ?
