Hello, When I try to use the panel design wizard, it only lets me use one design and then builds the array. When prototyping I have multiple designs that I need to put onto one panel, is there something I'm missing that allows for multiple designs? What I have done up to now is to create a PCB file including the multiple designs and then create a panel out of that file, but this isn't ideal.

Hi Mark, I believe the Panel Wizard can only deal with one instance/design of a pcb. It allows a panel design with multiple instances of component designators, i.e. you have R1, R2 etc. on each pcb in the Panel.
If you have multiple pcb designs I think you will have to do it manually, -unless anyone else knows better? |

Ed is correct, you just use Add Pcb Design to choose a different PCB file to insert into your panel and place interactively.

OK, thanks. After trying the wizard I put all of my designs into one design file and then created a panel from that, hopefully this doesn't cause any unforeseen issues. Next time I will create a panel and add the designs within the panel file as suggested. |
