There is a small problem with the Preferences settings for Unroute in the first round of V21, which effectively means that you cannot enable the ability for Unroute to work on complete tracks or track paths.

This issue is being addressed in the first V21 patch which should be issued via the Updates page on our web site tomorrow or Monday. Unfortunately there is no workaround in the software you have installed, but if this is proving to be a significant problem to you getting your work done then please email support@numberone.com as we do have an interim fix using a single updated program module.

V21.0.1 has arrived, thanks. I had to run the .exe as Administrator before it would install in Windows 7, which I didn't have to do with V20 or as far as I remember previously.

After installing the patch, you will need to go to the Preferences dialog and check / uncheck the Unroute checkbox and confirm that it is now remembering the setting. Then you should find that Unroute works as expected.

David, I agree with AndyB, -it certainly doesn't work in V21.0.2 as I would expect with "Unroute" checkbox ticked/unticked.

We cannot get it to go wrong here, which is why we haven't been able to offer a 'fix'.

Settings, Preferences, PCB Interaction.
Under 'Unroute Nets', uncheck the box for 'Ignore Fixed Items', OK, then go back in to check that the value is saved.

Now you should find that Unroute will unroute all the tracks, not just those that are unfixed.

David.

Ah! thanks David, -I was ticking/unticking "Delete Track Does Unroute" in Delete (bottom left hand corner) rather than Ignore Fixed Items in "Unroute Nets"
Not quite as intuitive as I would have expected!

Hi Andy,

If you still cannot get it to work then I suggest you contact our support desk and go through the problem. Worth producing a support report (from your Help menu) and emailing that in, we can then check things like DLL versions and saved program settings.

David.

I have found another issue that Peter thinks may be related.
