Hello all, a while since I have been here on the forum, new project, new problems. Its very possible I missed something here, so:-
I have a compoment with say six gates that I want to place on five design sheets One each on the first four sheets then two gates on the last sheet. What I can't do is rename the second gate on the last sheet because it says it is already in use in the design.
I wanted the two gates on the last sheet because they are related and I can place them at will.
So the question is can I not have more than one component gate on a single design schematic?

Thanks.

Place all the gates on one schematic.

Copy the gate(s) over onto the other pages. They will have new designators.
Move the original componets gates that you don't need on the first page to the Component bin. Then edit the gates on the subsequent pages renaming the gate with the original designator. It will give meaningful warnings/prompts. I'm sure there are other ways too!

Search for Splitting Components Across Schematic Designs in help files.
