I have noticed there is a slotted pad in the default pad list.
Opening up and a nice slotted pad with slotted hole is shown.
Problem is when amending the slotted pad I lose the hole and just have a pad.
Does anybody know how to setup the slotted pad for different sizes?

Peter has kindly emailed with the following.
To create a slotted pad you need to create a new pad style. The data space
allocated for information on pads defined with a local style is not
sufficient to contain this level of detail, so you need a defined style.

When you're defining the style, you will be able to change the drill shape
from round to a number of different options. 'Oval' is the most efficient
shape for a slot, as it can be cut with a single stroke of a mill. The
others require profiling, usually involving four strokes to define each
edge, and usually thinner tools, which can also increase the cost.

Hi. Am resurrecting this thread rather than start a new one.
Am running V13.0.8
I have Slotted Pads which appear fine on the PCB layout but when producing the Gerbers there is no hole in the pad.
I've read the info about needing to define a pad for file structure etc reasoms but I've done that ( in Pad Styles ) and all appears fine except for the Gerber outputs (checking these in Pentalogix Viewmate ).
Am I missing something ?

Well I thought I was onto something as I hadn't enabled 'Slots' in the Excellon Settings but I did that and still not on the Gerbers ie. There is npthing on the Drill Ident Drawing.
Is there something else I need to do to enable non round holes to show up on the drill ident layer ?
