I need help on a special foot print. Maybe someone has an idea. I'll try to describe the situation: I'd like to have an unplated slotted hole with a size of 11mm x 1.8mm. Along the longer sides (11mm) I would like to have several bullet shaped pads wth the cornered side directly at the slottet hole edge. Drawing this is quite easy, BUT the problem is the resulting DRC errors I get because of the Pad to Pad distances are zero. (because the slotted hole is a unplated pad)
Is there another way to do this without setting the Pad to Pad distance rules to 0? Can I create exceptions for certain parts?
By the way, if you ask: What for? I'm trying to solder one PCB to another one in 90° angle
The only way to avoid the pad to pad error would be to make sure that they're all attached to the same net. If you're using them to interconnect different signals between the boards, then that's obviously impossible, so you'd have to flag the errors as 'accepted' so they could be hidden.
If you're planning to upgrade to V15 when it's released, it has an alternative way of creating slots which should avoid this issue.
