Hello again,

Is it possible to delete just part of a PCB trace? I often have the situation where 90% of the trace is how I want it but I want to delete just 1 or 2 segments and then add those again. When I try to select just the segments in question and press delete, the whole trace is deleted.

Thanks

Hi,

You can select the segments you want and press CNTRL + U, or right hand mouse button click, select Net, the delete the Track Segements from there.

CTRL+U is quicker.

Richard.

I would find it much easier for the delete key to unroute the last segment if editing a track or unroute the whole path if not. I would want the connection (yellow rubber band) to stay connected correctly afterwards.
The right click menu requires too many mouse movements and clicks and regularly used functions shouldn't need multiple shortcut keys (CTRL U)

Does anyone agree!
Al

Hi,

I believe that you can reassign single key strokes to a specific operation - the help file provides this guidance. So the CTRL+U can be reassigned perhaps to a function key, or perhaps "R" to remove those segments.

Regards,

Richard.
