After a Design rule check several NL errors appear.
It seems to be "Necked Length" errors.
Only do I not understand the meaning. It has something to do with the connection from track to pad, but no reasonable error seems to be there .. atleast from what I can think of.
I have tried to change track size .. same result. Delete track and reroute again same (as before) .. error gone (?!)
I have been parsing the excelent online help but didn't find any reasonable answer.
The board has been designed partly with EPC ver. 6 now upgraded to ver.:10. 06
Tracks can have sections narrower (necked) or fatter than their normal width. They can be put there manually or automatically. There is a setting on the "settings" "spacings" menu to set the minimum length for a necked or fatten section of track.
I often find that a track has a very short segment where it joins on to a pad, sometimes the segment is totally obscured by the pad, and I may have made the rest of the track wider, or narrower, without picking this last little segment. When you do the design rule check this section, shorter than the set length, shows as an error.
These short segments are difficult to pick so use the N key to cycle through the items until it is highlighted and then you can change its width or if totally under the pad you can use Net - unroute track segment to get rid of it.
The other trick is to use the 'Layered Items' tab under [View], [Display] to hide the relevant pads or symbol pads. Then you can see the short section of track, and manipulate it without the pad getting in the way.
