I see from the main website that version 19 is compatible with Windows 8 (I actually have 8.1) but no mention of Windows 10. I will probably upgrade to Windows 10 quite soon.

Where it says 8 it should say "8 and 8.1", and the notice about supporting 10 will be posted shortly. Our testing on 10 has found no issues that need to be resolved, so I don't anticipate you will have any problems using Easy-PC on that version. |

Hi,
It may be prudent to test Windows 10 with any drivers for equipment you have before upgrading your work PC.

Shadders. |

The more I read about the EULA attached to Windows 10 the less inclined I am to install it!

John, considering that probably nobody reads the EULA, including myself, perhaps you could enlighten us ?

I will not be installing in my main WIN7 machine until many months have passed and all the horror stories have come to light !
I will allow it on my Win8.1 tablet to get a feel for it and to see if it is worth while.

From another forum:
The five top new features of Windows 10 according to ITPro are:
1. Automatic Updates cannot be turned off , unless you are an 'Enterprise User' where you can and be assured the updates won't compromise installed software. (Yeah right!)
2. You cannot select any competitor to Microsoft's new browser (Edge) as your 'default'.
3. A move back to the [Start Menu]. (There's nothing wrong with the current Start Menu in Windows 8.1.)
4. A means to use your laptop as a tablet (Continuum).
5. 'Multi-tasking'. (As far as I know Windows has always supposed to have been a multi-tasking OS.)

Another one to watch out for is Wifi Sense. Apparently it shares your wifi password (encrypted microsoft say's) and also microsoft stores it online for you to share :) So any friends wanting to hook up to your router can instantly.
You can switch this off. |

Apparently Mickey$oft have released a 1GB patch to fix some problems! Maybe 8.1 isn't so bad after all!

I guess a lot of this is already switched on in windows 8.1. I know Ive switched off a fair bit but windows 10 is looking pretty sneaky.
Thanks for the info. |

I installed Windows 10 last night and it works very well. Windows 10 is much better than Windows 7. I like the new start button. Easy-PC 17 works fine on Windows 10 as well. |
