Posted - 11 Oct 2016 : 22:38:32 I have just installed the patch for version 20.02 and every time I click on anything in the footprint editor I get an error message saying "Failed to save document". Clicking OK seems to clear the error but it is rather tedious. Is anyone else getting this?

Posted - 12 Oct 2016 : 12:39:04 Thanks David. In the end I didn't need to do anything as simply shutting down Windows and restarting seems to have cured the problem.

Posted - 12 Oct 2016 : 07:46:17 I'm not seeing this on any release I've tried, including the latest. A footprint is just like a tiny design so there should be nothing special about editing a footprint rather than a PCB design file.
Worth checking your Security Copy settings, maybe turn it off for the moment to see if that stops the message, as I suspect Security Copy is the only thing that is likely to be trying to save a file when you haven't initiated Save yourself.
