Posted - 22 Jan 2016 : 11:35:58 I saw at some point an advertisement for releasing different versions of a main design. I think this was to enable components to be left off a BOM or indicate components are not fitted? I never looked into it properly and now do not know where that feature is? Is it a V19 feature or some weird dream I had?
Thanks

Posted - 22 Jan 2016 : 12:56:13 Well I created a variant in my design. But when I got to BOM composer I am not sure how I select only parts for that variant? Can you help with this please? |

Can the assembly variants be used with BOM composer? It does not say on the help page it can. |

Posted - 22 Jan 2016 : 11:48:30 It is not a dream, in fact it is so much not a dream that it was actually back in V17 that "assembly variants" were introduced. As the feature list on the home page says:
Easily create two or more variations of your design without having to create separate design files or have to resort to complicated schemes to create your Bill of Materials (BOM).
