Hi ,Is there a way to add the board layer to a component.

I have components that I would like to have areas routed and drilled.

It would be preferred when holes are placed due to annoying DRC errors.

I have made my own board layer but the DRC and copper pour do will not use it as the board layer.

Is there a setting that would allow me to set this layer as the Board ?

Sorry, but to be recognised as a board outline the shapes need to be actual Board items, not just shapes on a layer. And as you have already discovered, there is no method of adding these to PCB symbols (for components).

I guess that won't be what you hoped to hear, but at least it means you won't chew up time looking for a feature or switch that isn't there!

Is there a chance to have function in the next upgrade?

Maybe also adding copper pour?
