Hi,
I inherited Easy PC version 7 some time ago and have used it for a few hobby projects and I can't afford to upgrade. I would like to revisit one but since I did it my hard drive died and I have installed Easy PC on a new machine. The problem I have is that when I forward design changes it un-routes all the tracks to some components. I assumed it was something do with components not matching between the schematic and PCB layout or something although I have managed to recover my library files from the faulty drive.
Can anyone offer advice as to how I might get around this?

Looking at the integrity check report (see below) it seems that the problem may be with the net names, can this be fixed?

Disconnect Pin U1-49 from Net "N0489!InTime Processor!"
...
Delete Net "N0489!InTime Processor!"
...
Add Net "N0489"
Connect Pin U1-49 to Net "N0489"
------------------------------------------------------

Net names get that extra element when they originate from sheets in a Project. This is to allow the 'default' nets (Nxxxxxx) to exist on more than one schematic sheet without accidentally getting joined up when the sheets are merged together to go into the PCB.
I wonder if your files are supposed to belong to a Project and no longer do so? That should be easy to rectify by creating a new Project file and adding the designs to it.
Having said all that, version 7 is now over 10 years old and way beyond our support period. It is doubtful that anyone could really track back to work out why you are getting a particular issue, and there is certainly no way of getting a 'fix' for software that is that old.

Thanks for the reply. I realize that my software is not supported or supportable, but I thought someone may have some idea...

I think David is correct .... there must have been a sheet called "InTime Processor" in a project file and you are simply trying to tie the schematic and the layout files together with the project file missing.
What David is proposing seems to be a good way forward. I have used EasyPC for years and never really have any problems with any of the older versions
