I am working on an old design in which several "groups" of components were made. I now want to dissolve those groups completely.
The help files say you click on each component in the group and select "ungroup" which works, but short of right-clicking on every component, how can I get a report on what groups exist and exactly what components are in those groups? |

Sorry, I realise that sounds like a bit of a stupid question! The main reason I ask is that I've been round, clicked on everything (I think) and ungrouped everything found, but am still left with residual groups which is really irritating as they only show up as errors during the integrity test. I can't find a way to get a list of them and their members and so determine what I've missed. |

Try the goto bar.
If you have a group then the "group" option is available. This will enable you to find where the grouped components are.
The goto bar is one of my favorite functions since it can be used to find those little error which you just cannot find when looking at the board. It has many other uses as well.
Hope it helps

Rob
I don't have a "Group" option come up under "Goto", even after I intentionally create a new one. I'm still on V15 btw.
FYI the intentionally created group (and all the spurious ones) do come up as options if I highlight a component and click on "Add to Group", so they do exist!

Yup the goto bar is the best way .... once you select what you are looking for, click "select all find items" you can then delete/modify anything common to the all.

sorry should have been more precise.
on the bar on the Right hand side
Right mouse click
the goto option should appear
For some reason this is different to the goto on the view tab which does not have all the options
