We used them on one of our last PCBs using V15 and once we set up the layer spans we had no problems.
It can get very confusing working on the PCB and even more so checking it.
Only issue we had was due to the specification of the PCB, i.e. thickness and layer spacing so you may want to look into that before you start if you haven't all ready think there is a rule regarding the aspect ratio of the vias, (via diameter to depth of via).
Thanks for the pointers there, I am in conversations with the PCB manufacturer so presumably they will be able to specify sizes/ ratios and keep me right !
When you mention checking being difficult .... does the DRC checks still work as you would expect ??? i.e one assumes that a track on a different layer can run over the top of a buried via without creating an error ??
Yeah the DRC works fine we also print the Gerber out on paper and check them my hand and on the screen before we sign off the PCB. Had issue in the past where when EasyPC outputted the Gerbers it didn't get the pours right and actually joined a few together.
As a note i have only used blind never vias at this point so cant say for 100% that the DRC works etc.
