Just tried this and getting nowhere. I can take an already generated 3D package and use it as a bais for a user pack. However when I enter the editor, the elements are shown in the table, but not in the preview (only the base footprint) .... So you cannot see how the thing has been cobstructed. Also if you do try and add something and click save, only the original remains, and then the app stops responding and exits.
I am on Windows 7
Anybody having the same problm?

Yes, exactly the same behaviour on two Windows 7 machines (except that it doesn't always crash), on my XP netbook the elements aren't even added to the list and the 3D view doesn't even show the elements that I create.
How can this be so totally broken, didn't they do ANY testing at all?
I am one of the many people who are totally unimpressed by V16, all of the new features that I intended to make use of have turned out to be broken, except for the free upgrade to the trace router whichI didn't even get.

I have also had problems with non-user 3D - see forum entry under Libraries.

All the other components have a correct preview. I didn't change the path (fresh windows xp and Easy-PC 16).
After updating to 16.03 the following components still don't have a preview (black window):
STERM (CPS) CAP (default) R (default) TB6 (Connection)
How can I change the path ?

Change the paths in the folders tab of the libraries section. Also enable/disable libraries and change search orders.

The following paths do exist and are enabled:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Dokumente\Easy-PC\UserLibrary\ C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Dokumente\Easy-PC\Library\
Easy-PC found 258 files and all are enabled as well. Which paths do you have in the folder tab, Iain?

Where did you install the application files then ???
If your on XP this is where they would have gone by default. Is your PROGRAMS folder hidden ???

The path c:\Program Files\Number One Systems\Easy PC\ does exist, but the subfolder library isn't there. I have the following subfolders:
Doc EagleULP rt StartupPage SysUtild
The folder EasyPC isn't hidden. |

You MUST have a "Programs" folder in XP.
Go to Windows Explorer and find it .... EasyPC should be installed under Numberone Systems.

Hi Hodali,
Here is my instance: D:\Number One Systems\Easy-PC\ I have EasyPC installed in above directory.
D:\Controllers\PCB\Easy-PC\Library My Library and data files are kept here above.
Your installation may be similar. Just search for '74hc.cml' assuming you still have this file.
Or I might be missing your point!
Cheers, Hanspeter. |
