How can I add a 3D file such as IGES, 3D CATIA, STEP or 3D DXF 13 to library component?
Kind regards,

Go and buy a top end CAD PCB package costing many thousands of pounds, and then pay their annual licence fees, - some annual licenses cost more than the full works of EasyPC.
You may find that these packages allow you to do what you want. |

DesignSpark PCB can import files such as IGES, 3D CATIA, STEP or 3D DXF 13 to library and it is free of charge. As I was told DesignSpark PCB is a stripped down version of Easy-PC (http://www.numberone.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=619).
I updated Easy-PC to version 15. But I think I am going to use DesignSpark PCB in the future because it has the same features as Easy-PC and more. I don't see any great advantages in using Easy-PC. Does anybody disagree?
Kind regards,

Iain is right, DesignSpark PCB cannot import those files. DesignSpark (much like PCB Artist from Advanced Circuits) has a subset of the Easy-PC functionality, it doesn't have a stack of extra stuff like this.
