hi all,

I am new to easy pc tool and so please answer my doubts below

1. can v choose negative or positive plane for power planes?
2.how to select individually a routed trace which is underneath the pad?
3.can we set placebound top in this tool like allegro?
4.If we delete the ratsnets mistakenly, it is not visible though I select "show all net connections"?

My hearty thanks for your kind replies

1) The powerplanes are not normally visible, but can be switched on by VIEW > Powerplane. However, it's best not to use powerplanes in EasyPC because of possibility of isolated islands of copper where there is a high density of vias. Use flood fill areas of copper instead,(ADD >Copper Pour Area) and manually add flood area to +Vcc or Gnd nets manually.

2) Select the pad then press N key (next) until the segment you want is highlighted.

3) ?

4) Try TOOLS > Forward Design Changes from schematic page to reload ratnest.

Thanks for your reply

3."Placebound top" is a shape given around all the components to maintain a minimum clearance (25mil) in the component library.
can We give that using the Easy PC tool?

Thanks for your upcoming reply.

Try Settings>Design Technology>Spacings where you can set gaps between various items.

Alternatively, create a new layer for these outlines (kinda like another silkscreen type layer)
