Hi all

I just wanted to post a comment on one of the library that comes with easy PC:

resistor.cml:

What is R 0.1W SMTF 0, 1.0k, 1M, 1.2k,1.5k....

Is the person that created the library aware that we don't use a different component for different resistor values?

It depends how you look at it.

You can add extra info to a component, so in that case having a Resistor "component" for every value can be usefull e.g. when creating a BOM.

(this is one of the few things I like in packages like Ultiboard)

There's the further point that you can create a copy of the library, then edit the components to add a value for the part numbers of your preferred manufacturer or supplier. That's useful when creating parts lists.

It obviously won't work with a generic resistor!
