V14 has improved grid handling. Once one gets used to this then it is a great timesaver.
Working though a complex layout recently I realised that an even greater efficiency gain could be had by being able to specify different grids for different types of primitives.
I usually place components on a 25mil or 50mil grid - it keeps parts nicely in line etc.. I then track on a 5mil grid.
If when I moved components then these automatically moved on a 25mil grid and tracks moved on a 5mil grid then I would only rarely need to swap grids. This would produce significantly improved productivity.
Please consider adding the ability to specify default grids for component, vias, tracks and strings for later updates.
