Just noticed the following problem having just updated to 13.0.5.

I have a socket with SM pads and a couple of locating holes. I was wanting to change the hole to now be plated. So I edit the existing component, edit the hole properties and check "Plated". Save. Close.

Now if I reload the same component, no changes have been made !!

I then tried to change the hole size. The hole did change size but, again, after a save / close / reload, no changes were made.

I then installed 13.0.4 again, and tried both of the above. Works fine !!

I'm not sure if it's a problem particular to our libraries, but I did try 3 different components just to make sure and they all exhibited the same problem.

Regards

Hi,

Not sure about this, but if the component is already on the board the place component may use the existing component if it exists.

Have you tried a new design without any components added or in the parts store ?.

Regards,

Richard.

This is with no project loaded ... just using the library manager.

I've had a look at this, and what is happening is that you are making the changes directly to the pad. If you go to [Settings], [Design Technology] and edit the pad style, then it works. alternatively create a different pad style, and edit the pad to use the different style. It's when there are local variations on the pad that it's discarding them during saving.

Correct ... but this has always worked. Is there any reason why it's now changed on 13.0.5 ??
