Hello,

I created a Rectangle Slot pad, using the Settings, Design Technology, Pad Styles, Add Style menu.

The pad properties are length 105 mil, width 80mil. Hole = Rectangle, length 60 mil, width 30 mil, plated.

Within EasyPC, the drill table shows the hole as 30mil, round. After generating viewing the Gerber output, I find that there is no hole at all, only a square pad. Is there some trick involved in getting the Gerber output to recognize the square hole?

Thanks,
-Matt

Thanks for the report about the drill table, I'll check that out.

With the output, highlight the Excellon drill plot in plotting and printing, then click on 'Settings'. You'll see a check box for including slots in the output.

This is optional so that you've got the control of having more than one drill file containing different Excellon information, if your manufacturer needs it that way.

Hi!

I am experiencing this exact problem. Peter, do you already know what's going wrong?
I've checked the checkbox "slots" in the "Drill Data - Through Hole" gerber settings, but this doesn't change anything.
I'm using V12.0.2, Updated from V12.0
Thanks for any help!

Problem solved! After checking the "slots" checkbox and re-generating the gerbers, the drill data now shows the slots where they're supposed to be. I got a bit confused because the Windows outputs only showed small holes, but that had nothing to do with this problem.
(I've noticed and tested that this printing issue is fixed in V12.0.3, good job!)

Peter, thanks for your explanation via the phone!
