 copper pour PCB, for better performance

Dear All

I got Dc-Dc step down(tps62203), i am making the PCB for it.

The output of the inductor is going into my feedback pin and capacitor, should this be a simple top or bottom layer track, as the datasheet does not really show reference design.

Or

Is it better to use a copper pour, for the output of the inductor, then use the middle layers to create the pour and use vias to connect inductors output(pour area) to feedback pin and capacitor. And keeping in mind keeping all components close as as possible.

With any switching power supply, it's important to keep the stray capacitance low to avoid slowing down the response time, and rounding edges.

For the same reason, tracks should be as short as practicable, and reasonably wide to keep the inductance to a minimum. This is of course less important if there's a series inductor, as the track inductance will be swamped by the physical part.

So the general answer is that adding any large areas of copper to a feedback path is a bad idea, and will probably affect performance adversely, sometimes to the extent of causing malfunction.
