security and backup location

Browse option for both security and backup copy file locations does not allow selection, browsing or entry.
This was a problem on ver11. It seems to be still there on ver12. Is there a fix for this or am I doing something wrong?

Well, some of the backgrounds are grey, which is misleading, but clicking on the 'Browse' button works. If you can't even open the 'Location' window, then you've got a problem with registry permissions.

Log on as administrator before running the program (on Vista, right click on the icon and 'Run as administrator'), then change all the locations you are likely to want to change in the course of using the program, even if you then change them back again.

That will write the relevant registry entries, and the problem should be resolved next time you log on with normal rights.

I have tried that (I have admin account). No change. I can edit the registry and can see number of backup levels etc. The Browse button clicks and has focus. The cursor flashes in the folder box but I cannot browse or enter into this box. Both Design Backup and Security copy windows work the same way.
I am willing to enter the folder path directly into registry if I know where. I presume backup is Number One Systems . Epcwin . BackupFiles . Folder. There may be flags to be set elsewhere.
