I recently built a board with 3 LEDs, etc. and now they want a 2 LED version of the board, I just have to whack the end off and move a couple of pads. Obviously I edited the old sch file, did a Save As into a new directory.
The problem was that the statistics did not get set to 0, so it shows the original edit time.
It would be nice to be able to reset the start time to keep track of how long it took to do the new job.
Have I missed how to acomplish this or is that not a feature? |

Unfortunately, there's no way to rewind the statistics. You would have to open a new design, then copy and paste the contents.
If you're doing this for both schematic and pcb, you'd then have to run an integrity check (which would in all probability unroute most if not all the pcb tracks), then use the 'Apply Layout Pattern' feature to restore them from the original pcb. |

Is there still no feature to allow an User to reset the "timer"? Must admit this would be a handy feature please!

+1 on that Edrees.
I have only every created a handful of designs from scratch. My new design are usually a Project->SaveAs exercise then copy/paste schematic designs in. So the ability to reset the stats at will or at SaveAs would be nice.
Suggestion Alert : It may even be a nice feature to do Project->New and 'Use Existing Project" as the template, rather than creating a blank project, and then resetting the stats counters at that point.
Bit off topic, but I still would like to see a board outline library option or be able to add a board layer to a pcb symbol i.e. EURO card DIN connector with PCB outline or a PCI card, etc. |
