Hi,
I am now nowing design from PCB routing. I tries using the feature to add unrouted connection before my actual route. I am able to use the function "unroute track segments" and is able to see the unrouted connection. However after a period of use, I cannot see the unrouted connection, after I unroute the track. I am not sure if I have click on some option that causes this.
Another issue is that if it is possible to route a track of a particular default style. It is quite troublesome having to change the track style for every track routing.
Thank you for your help.
Best Regards Siong Boon

The track style depends on the net class. Look at [Settings], [Net Classes]. Each net class has a setting for minimum track width, nominal track width, and via size, expressed as track and pad styles. If you change a net's class, you will also change the track style used to route it. You can also directly edit these styles to change them to your preferred ones.
The missing net could be for one of several reasons:
a) You've hidden it accidentally. Go to [Settings], [Nets], and find the column "Show Conn(ections)". Right click on any box showing "Yes", and select "Apply To Column". That will reveal all the nets. If they still don't appear, go to [View], [Display], and look for "Connections" on the "Other Items" tab. Make sure that there's a tick in the box, and that the colour isn't the same as your pcb background.
b) It's no longer needed, as the route has been completed by another path. Go to [Tools], [Optimise Nets]. This rebuilds the structure of unrouted nets so that it is a short as possible.
c) You've accidentally deleted it. Go to [Tools], [Integrity Check]. The report will show any differences between your schematic and pcb designs, and should allow you to repair the pcb if mistakes have arisen. |
