Hi!

I need to make a symbol with 40 pins to represent an IDC ribbon cable terminator, with 40 PCB pins, but the same pins need to be repeated at both ends of a short line for each connection, one end of each line being the actual pins themselves, the other end of the line with the 40 pins duplicated to represent the ribbon cable, so another IDC socket can be shown connected to it!

Physically, the connector consists of a 3M 3418–000 cable–to-board terminator connected to six inches of 40 way 0.05" pitch IDC flat ribbon cable, terminated in a 40 pin IDC bump–polarised female socket, two rows of 20!

Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi,
What you seem to want to do is use Easy-PC as a schematic diagram as you would use a drawing package ?

Not sure if this can be done without affecting the PCB work.
