Hi,

A few more novice questions - as i am new to gerber plotting etc.

I have downloaded Viewmate as suggested by another forum member. The package is quite good, but i get an error when opening the gerber files in the top copper and copper1 layer - essentially :

"Input contains a self intersecting polygon at location X Y".

Q1. If i allow the program to correct or not makes no difference to the plot view. Hence is this an error in gerber output that can be ignored ?.

Q2. Should i plot board outlines in all files ?.

Q3. The manual V14 may not correlate with the program. On page 248 the screen shot shows the SETTINGS tab. Three ticked options are shown. What is not shown is "Plated Board Outline" or "Unplated Board Outline". In addition, on the LAYERS tab, you can toggle "Board Outline"

Does toggling "Board Outline" on LAYERS tab override the other two options in the SETTINGS tab ???.

Thanks and regards,

Richard.
