When I go to Tools > Auto Fanout the only option available is "Create Fanout Pattern...". All the other options are greyed out.

How does one obtain the other options, (All SMD PAds, Selected SMD Pads and Browse Nets)?

No we don't have any of the auto-router options. Most boards are prototypes, mixed analogue and digital, sm and pinned components, so auto-fanout from PIC sm pads to a pcb connector, say, is very useful.

It would be even more useful if the traces and vias resulting from the fanout, obeyed the clearances in the Design Technology settings for the project. Instead they overlap!

The Fanout features rely on the presence of one of our Auto-Router options. So if you don't have any of Easy-Router, Trace-Router or Pro-Router enabled on your copy of Easy-PC, then the Fanout options are not available.
