Posted - 03 Jan 2013 : 10:10:26 I have 8 seperate copper pour areas of the same size each on a one node net. 4 pour correctly with isolation gaps to other nets. The other 4 fail and pour over one net that passes through.
How can a copper pour touch a net not chosen? |

If all fails then as a last resort you might try the following if not already.
Re-shape/add new the offending copper pour outline !. But not exact shape/position as before i.e. just a little smaller !.
We have seen this on version V11 where multi copper power planes stacked on each other with a primary power plane !. No matter what the pour flooded everything within the outline area. By deleting the origonal or some times just re-size to a smaller outline recovered pouring !.

Posted - 11 Apr 2013 : 17:00:32 Sounds like you are doing something not quite right. I have just been working on a complex multiple pour multilayer design with no problems.
I have seen what you describe before and did subsequently fix it, but I cannot remember what the issue was. All I suggest is you fiddle with th settings check net names, spacings etc

Also check that the copper pour is on a net and has something to connect to |

I have the merging of copper pours over tracks, but also I have removed a copper pour, made a change, then repoured and it refused to pour the copper again. I am getting frustrated because this is an easy operation that is taking far too long to complete. I have my bosses on my back asking why this stupid PCB is taking so long to complete!! Any help gratefully received. Jeff. |

Yup there is no problem regarding error reporting. If you got a problem, it will come out in the DRC.

Posted - 04 Feb 2013 : 11:55:16 AndyB/ Iain Can you please confirm that DRC flags up this error as a track to shape or track to something else error? If a flood area pours over a thin (unnoticeable) track and the DRC doesn't flag the error, this bug may not be detected until too late! Thanks. Ed.

Spoke to Peter at Number One regarding my problem ... he says my problem has been replicated at their end and it is being giver top priority. It may be the same cause... who knows ? Will just have to sit and hopefully get a quick fix !

Posted - 04 Feb 2013 : 11:41:29 Hi Iain No not as yet. It behaves in a strange way .... I had 8 copper pours on one pcb all on different nets. Some would work ok others would bleed to one net. Closing and starting Easy-PC, I managed to get all but one to work. I had since reinstalled my PC and then the last one worked.
Not heard back.

I have sent design to NumberOne, hope to hear back today. Just wondering if yours was resolved ?

Passed my drawing to support but still not had a work around yet.

Posted - 08 Jan 2013 : 08:28:09 Think it is to do with the order the pours are poured.
If you right click the properties on each pour outline you can set the order at which EasyPC fills each one.
Set the four that pour correctly to 1 and leave the four that dont pour to 0.
Think that should pour the non-poured ones first the the others will fill around the first four.
