I thought easy pcb had a tool for doing matched trace lengths for use in high speed design. I can't seem to find it, I may be thinking of different layout software. I need to layout some high speed memory and match the length of the traces going to the memory. The best I can see is you can do the properties and get the length for a given trace and manually adjust them.

Thanks David

Benno I use a mechanical cad system called Turbo cad 2D which you can buy on www.turbocad.com . You can buy a cheap old version on pearl.de. I use version 16 at the moment and it costs 29,90 Euros on the website http://www.pearl.de/a-SA5067-3240.shtml?query=turbo+cad .

Kind regrads,

Daniell would you be willing to share what software you use for that?

I am looking for a simple 2D Cad software that I can use for assembly drawings etc. Having DXF import and export is great.

Thanks

Benno

I use a cheap mechanical cad system (less than 100 Euro) to enter traces for microwave design and than I import them to Easy-PCB. No need of buying an expensive cad system!

Kind regards,

It was introduced in V13.

If you can't see it, try going to [Settings], [Customise], select the 'Menu' tab, and reset the menus for 'PCB Design'. That might sort it out.

It is not listed as a new feature for V14 and I am sure it was introduced in an earlier version ....

I think it may be a new V14 setting Ian. I am interested in this
too and can't find it in V13. So many features and it's always the
one you havn't got that you need.
I wonder if a piece of track could be defined as a component...

Iain: Thanks, could you point me to the min/max you are talking about. Under the "Design Technology"->"Track Styles" I only see options for "Width" in version 12.

Never used it, but you can set min/max in track styles and enable these to be checked in the DRC, if you check the diff lenghts box.

However running the tracks is still a manual process ... it does not do it automatically (yet ??
