I have another feature request: In the layers have an option to dim a layer colour, or have some transparency.

This makes it much easier while routing complex boards, to visually see if there is an easy routing path.

I know the color of the traces can be altered in the display properties

Thanks.

As you say not ideal, but it does make it a lot easier when tracks overlay each other on different layers

[View], [Display], 'Settings and Highlights' tab. Bottom left corner, merge shapes, merge tracks.

Not absolutely ideal, but logically ORs the colour values of overlaid shapes and tracks, so lower ones show through, and combined ones tend towards white.
