Posted - 19 Aug 2010 : 10:04:16 Since upgrading from V12 to V14.01, I cannot seem to print the pcb board outline on either "Windows" or on the "PDF" option in the print dialogue box. The board outline box is ticked, (tried unticking too!). Is it my PC installation or are there other users experiencing this problem? I'm still awaiting an update from Tech support. Thank you. |

Posted - 11 Jan 2012 : 14:22:56 Al, it got better all by itself, - self correcting software! I really didn't do or change anything, it just started to work properly. Apart from the suggestions given above by other Users, is the outline width zero or something silly like that? |

Posted - 01 Sep 2010 : 10:50:17 Just for information, re. 3rd Party virtual PDF printers and V14.01
On my PC, PDFCreator and PrimoPDF do not produce PDFs from the 3D view when asked to print, -only blank sheets are produced. PDF995 appears to be OK in this respect. PDFCreator and PrimoPDF appear to be OK for the 2D views only.
After many days fiddling with my PC set up to restore my disappearing board outlines, they have now mysteriously returned. Now if only I knew what's changed........ Of course! - there is an "r" in the month now!
Thanks to everybody for their comments and suggestions.

Posted - 26 Aug 2010 : 09:38:05 Thanks Iain, the screen colour for the PCB outline is green (8 thou) but I'm forcing all layers to print black in the print dialogue box. It seems that I'm alone in experiencing this problem and have tried removing and re-installing the software several times, -all to no avail.. Fortunately, there are several "easy" work-arounds for the time-being at least. |

Posted - 25 Aug 2010 : 19:17:44 Are you printing all black .... if not and you have set the board outline colour to white you might not see it !
Also check the board outline line width I usually am set to 8 thou and that prints ok.

Posted - 25 Aug 2010 : 14:02:44 Thanks everybody for their comments/advice. I am using a 3rd party PDF "vitual" Windows printer (PDF creator) and I still have the same problem as printing PDFs from the EasyPC PDF dialogue. AndyB, thanks too, -the board outline boxes are duly ticked (and unticked too!) as appropriate but you are referring to PLOTTING and I'm referring to PRINTING. PLOTTING appears to be OK. |

I have been using PDF995 for some years (before Easy-PC had a PDF capability). This does not require the PDF features (and problems) of Easy-PC. You just use it as a Windows printer. It's free - just search for PDF995.
I too use PDF995 and its great. It has a couple of nag screens but nothing too annoying.

Posted - 23 Aug 2010 : 17:24:40 Did you select all the board outlines in the dimensions tab. 1.Highlight dimensions on the left of your output window. 2.select Layers tab. 3.select Y for all board outlines and dimensions.
I have had a few problems regarding the PDF output in V14 with random crashes. One in particular when producing schematic pdf with a pcb shown.
