I have Easy_PC 8 and have a question.

1. I have placed a component on my layout. It is a resistor. It is for the smaller resistor, but I need to have one for the "larger" resistor. Is there any way to resize the added component using something like gap between holes.

Although v8 is over 5 years old the basic technique still applies....

A component definition has one or more packages. If you open the component "R" from our "Discrete" library you should see that it has 2 packages, one for a PTH and one for SMT. You can extend this technique by adding more packages, so you could make a component that has a list of different sized footprints.

You can then choose from this list using the Change button in the Properties of the component in the design.
