Posted - 10 Feb 2010 : 13:56:00 I'm getting an error message when I try to bring in a netlist and I can't figure out how to get around it. The message in the report reads; Net "GND_SIGNAL" already exists in design. I generated the netlist using Orcad and this is the name Orcad assigns to ground. I'm using an older version of EasyPC version 11.0.3 |

Posted - 10 Feb 2010 : 14:50:53 This suggests that the netlist has more than one net with the same name. That's not an issue with schematics, and certainly legal in Easy-PC, but it might be confusing the importer. Is this a warning? It's quite possible that if you click OK, it will then say something like 'Merge Nets?', and clicking OK will let it continue. Alternatively, if it's actually failing as a result, you'd need to send a copy of the netlist to support.
As V11 no longer qualifies for support, it would be checked in V13, and if it's still an issue , fixed there, but that wouldn't help you directly. On the other hand, you'd probably get some feedback on how to avoid the problem. |
