I created a PCB footprint, then created a PCB only component from it (no schemtic symbol) and loaded it into my PCB layout and that was fine. I now want to duplicate the component in the PCB editor, but it throws up an error telling me to update the component and try again. I do this but the same problem. Strangely the componet properties says it is "schematic only " !!!!. Anyway after a lot of faffing about getting nowhere, I finally returned to the component library editor and added a schematic symbol for the component and now all is well !!!

Whats going on ????

Also noted .... on adding text into a new pcb layout on default seems to be invisible !.... looking at default text, the sizes are set to zero, if you try changing them in the default settings dialogue, they always just return to zero !!.... you neet to go and edit the text sizes in the design technology and even then you need to faff about a bit to get anything "visable". This all seems to have happened since V13 ..... always was fine in the past !
