I had a track that was completely routed by the auto router but I needed to shorten the path. I unrouted a couple of the end segments and continued the track route as needed. At this point the Rats nest line does not dissapear when the final connection is made to the pad and the DRC sees it as a dangling track.

How do i fix this?

Click on the 'Optimise all nets' button. I have it in my toolbar at the top, otherwise you can get to it from the Tools menu.

HTH,
Best wishes,
Olga.
