v29 Tracks highlight issue
I have upgrade my EPC CAD this month to the latest version. Working with EPC form the DOS era... I have followed the development of it thru its most early Windows versions from the mid 90's... Latest version i used, before the current upgrade, was the v27xxx that I have found quite good and steady all these years! Now... the v29xxx seems to me like someone has "jumped in" & try to reinvent the wheel! OK fine with it, as long as it keeps it in a circle form that would keep spinning around without much effort! Among many other issues that I had to manage, re-arrange, re-do, re-re-whatever else... ie preferences... "Text fonts" unrecognizable!!! etc. to make the v29 start working exactly (at least for the most common & standard procedures a designer would do) as the v27 and previous ones was... i'm now trying to find why when I click to highlight a net on a PCB it doesn't do it all the way at it should! It highlight it up to the point where there is not a track part that is left dangling unconnected! The highlight of the selected net, dissapears at the most important part, the leftover dangling track segment! But that is what should be highlighted more for a user to locate it easy inside even many other tracks and possible some of them also dangling around make it more difficult to distinguish it by an independent color as the net highlight is!

Posted - 03 Oct 2025 : 16:23:05 It sounds like your previous preferencies have been lost. This has been a problem on V28 and V29. You need to save your configuration file from V27 and reload it for V29. That *might* solve most of your problems. See here https://www.numberone.com/faq?87
