I have a set of schematics all done with hundreds of resistors that are on an 0805 footprint. I want to change the all to 0603 ... however when I try I lose all the component values in the value part of the properties !!!

Is there a way round this ????

Iain

OK Folks .... spoke to Peter on this one and the problem is the values are linked to the footprint ! ..... he is going to list it as as something for the programmers to look at.

However a fantastic workaround (in my case anyway with so many components) ... and credit to Peter here ... simply create a local library for the design, then within the footprint library edit the 0805 outline to be the size of an 0603. Hey presto all 0805 outlines in design are now the size of 0603 and all values are still intact. However you do need to remember that now in this design 0805 actually means 0603 !
