Hi all
Is there a command that will tidy up connections in a circuit, eg if 2 nets are joined, or if you have loops, and now common paths/traces are layed/overlap on top of one another.
Can you "click" and tidy up the circuit to remove double lines and extra junction points?

Had a look in "help" but could not find anything.
("Cadstar" called it "merge connections")

Russ

There's no single function for this, but a number of techniques. Extra junctions can be removed by highlighting just the dot and pressing delete. Overlapping tracks are harder. You first need to drag the overlap to one side so you can see it, then highlight the overlapping segments and use Net, Unroute Track Segments from the right click menu. Delete the rubber band that's left, then double click on each of the stubs and connect to the other track.

There's an option in Settings, Preferences to allow duplicate tracks, so you'll only get loops if this is allowed. There's no explicit function to show loops, because of this option, so you would need to use net highlight <Ctrl+H> to visually inspect for loops. As long as overall connectivity isn't compromised, it's safe to delete one arm of each loop found.
