Hi,

Anyone know what governs the order of schematics when you print the whole project from the project page? I'm printing to a pdf printer so I get a file with all the sheets. The sheets have page 1 of N and it would be nice if page 1 was page 1 etc.

Hi,
A possible work-round:
Print the sheets individually to the PDF 'printer' in the order you want, each page is then added after the previous ones. More time consuming, but I know this would work with FinePrint (usual disclaimer)
but maybe not all PDF printers work this way.
A proper fix would still be better as it can be set and left.

I have added that comment to the report on our database. Makes sense to allow user-defined order, you would want your 'main' sheet printed first then subsidiary ones afterwards, without being constrained by alphabetic name order.

DavidM,

If this hasn't already been done or thought about, can you add an option NOT to sort the sheets alphbetically and add the ability to re-order them in the project view (drag-drop would be nice and friendly). This combined with the ability to print in the order shown would put the icing on the cake as far as printing schematics goes (especially with pdf printers).

Looks like it uses the order in which the sheets were created/added to the project. Although the project screen itself always sort the sheets into order by their name, this is not the order in which they are processed for printing etc.

So it looks like the only way to get them printed in a specific order right now is to add the sheets in the correct order in the first place.

It would be better if it at least printed them in the order shown in the project window, at least it would be consistent and predictable. I have logged this on our database as an enhancement request.
