After having completed one schematic and related PCB layout (my first with Easy-PC) I am having a problem with a new schematic.

I created a custom schematic technology file during the creation of the first schematic. I saved various settings: line styles, grids, text styles, etc.

When I try using this STF for a new schematic, free text from my OLD schematic appears in the new design. I know it is related to the STF since this does not happen if I use the default STF.

What's going on? Did I inadvertently save text as opposed to text styles somehow?

Absolutely! When you create a technology file from a design, Easy-PC saves everything it legally can (which includes free text).

Just open your new technology file using [File], [Open], exactly as it it were a design, delete any clutter, then re-save it. You'll need to manually remove any clutter in existing designs (it won't re-appear), but any fresh designs will be OK.
