Hi,

I have a problem updating the component after editing in the library.
For example, I would like to add a property "color" to my component in the existing schematic. I would go edit the component in the library, then return to the schematic and ensure I do a update on the component. The new property "color" will not get update to the component. What I usually do is to delete the component and add it in again, then the new property can be available.
Is this a bug?

Thanks.

After reading the report, I realised that the problem was cause by changing the name of the package.
I have right click the component in the schematic, to edit the component. Changed the package name and add in a new property "Part Number" thinking that it will change the component on the schematic as well. When I update the component on the schematic, pops the error message.
The report says it cannot find the package which was my old package new.
That says all.

I realise again, some components still cannot be updated.
Perhaps it is this error message that cause the problem.

"Error accessing some components or symbols from the library.
Either cannot find them or error reading them. View the report for more details.
Perform updates of components and symbols that can be accessed?"

I am not sure why?

Oh. I realised, that the check box need to be tick at the library component editor in order to appear (default) property on the schematic.
