Is there any way to make Easy-PC do a zoom based on the location of the mouse when the zooming is done (with the mouse wheel)? I would like to NOT see the mouse pointer jump from its current position to the center of the drawing canvas and for the zoom center to be only from there. I can see that both methods have their merit and that it is a user preference. So is there a preference that I haven't discovered to allow the screen to zoom based on the mouse's current coordinate, rather than on the center of the drawing canvas?

Assuming not....

I suggest a great modification for version v18 to be an option to do zooming centered on the current mouse position rather than 1) an immediate pan from the current mouse position to the center of the drawing canvas, and 2) a zoom based on the center of the drawing canvas.

Or if I am missing some option in EasyPC v17, please advise.

P.S. I also like the option of a couple other drawing-type programs I use that use a right mouse-button drag as a panning feature. I realize that Easy-PC has this feature as a center button feature but I personally like the right button better.
