I'm running Easy-PC V12.0.4 and disappointed to find that the software doesn't perform as described/expected. Slotted pads are not shown on Gerber or PDF drill ident drawings, (Tech-help hasn't replied to my emails). Today, I find that my old BoardMaker2 files are un-importable, yet the online help suggests that they are still compatible. I had no problem importing BoardMaker 2 on previous releases of Easy-PC. Didn't expect to loose this very important import feature (to me) when I "upgraded".  |

The problem with the drill ident is caused by the slots being handled in a completely different way from normal drill holes. Essentially it's missing functionality, but it's a low priority bug as we've only received a complaint from Ed about it, and the work required is significant. It is recorded, and it will be sorted out, but only when other work in this area is being done.
The Boardmaker import is a different matter. This has been fixed and will be released in V12.0.5. However, a patch file is available for any users who need it before then. A copy of the patch has already been sent to Ed. |
