Hi,
Background is I have been using the software for about 3 months, about 10-20 hours a week.

I have been having some application crashing issues recently. The last couple days, about 2 - 3 times per day. I have never been able to repeat the crash after I have restarted the program until today. The only consistant issue is the spiral tracks function.
I tried to find a trend to the crash, but I couldn't find one other then changing the Style input usually triggered the event.

I was running 10.0.1. I reinstalled the software then updated to 10.0.3. The issue remains.

Let me know if you have any ideas, I ran the program for about 2 months with like 1 or 2 crashes at the most. Now, like I said I am getting 2 -3 a day. I don't think its a computer issue (newer laptop with plenty of juice).

Thanks, Jake Weaver

Hi Jake,

Although not much comfort to you, nothing like this has been reported to us yet. And this kind of problem can prove difficult to nail down, as you are already finding. A couple of thoughts though...

Is this a problem that is showing up on more than one design? Hard to ask you to go off-track and try it on non-project work, but if its related to just the current design you are working on then perhaps there is something wrong with that design. On the File menu, choose Properties, and go to the Statistics tab. Alongside the Signature are three numbers, the first will be a number the others should be zero, like this: 443 0 00000000. If the last two show something different, like 443 2 00000200, then this shows that something isn't quite right inside the design data. Email the design to support@numberone.com to be 'repaired' (this will generally be done 'by return').

Secondly, although perhaps not a direct contributor to the problem, what O/S are you using? If its a newer laptop then perhaps it's XP? Again this shouldn't have a bearing on the problem, Easy-PC is generally very happy on any of the Windows versions, and XP is proving to be a pretty stable platform for us.

Hope this helps you get started on solving the problem.

Regards,

David Manns
