With the introduction of the new 'Dynamic Align' feature in V21, several users have reported difficulty getting items to position correctly when using small grids or grid snap settings.

If you are finding that you cannot move items by a small amount without them jumping around, then we suggest you try turning off Dynamic Align on Settings, Preferences, PCB (or SCM) Interaction, and see how that goes.

We initially set this new feature as enabled so that it wasn't "hidden" from you, but it seems we may not have appreciated all the implications on moving items by small distances. The next patch will probably flip to having Dynamic Align turned off by default, but in the meantime you can control this yourself using the Preferences switch.
